Panorama, fiziksel anlamdaki bir alanın geniş açıyla herhangi bir görünümüdür. Bu görünüm çeşitli tekniklerle farklı açılardan çekilen fotoğrafların birleştirilmesiyle yapılır. İnternette gezinirken bu alandaki şu güne kadarki yapılmış en büyük panoramik fotoğrafa rastladım. Bu fotoğrafın büyüklüğü tam 18 Gigapixel ve bir şehrin tamamını 360 derecelik açı içine alacak şekilde tasarlanmış. Bunu tasarlayan adam Jeffrey Martin [...]

<p>Panorama, fiziksel anlamdaki bir alanın geniş açıyla herhangi bir görünümüdür. Bu görünüm çeşitli tekniklerle farklı açılardan çekilen fotoğrafların birleştirilmesiyle yapılır. İnternette gezinirken bu alandaki şu güne kadarki yapılmış en büyük panoramik fotoğrafa rastladım. Bu fotoğrafın büyüklüğü tam 18 Gigapixel ve bir şehrin tamamını 360 derecelik açı içine alacak şekilde tasarlanmış. Bunu tasarlayan adam Jeffrey Martin fotoğrafını internette daha hızlı yaymak için birde ödüllü oyun hazırlamış. Oyunun amacı verilen 30 ip ucu ile 18 gigapixellik bu fotoğrafta  30 adet nesneyi bulmak. İp uçları bu sitede yayınlancak ve 30 adet nesneyide ilk olarak siz eksiksiz bulursanız 1000$ ödül kazanıyorsunuz.</p>

<p>The mission of the <a href="http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/">Scientific Visualization Studio</a> is to facilitate scientific inquiry and outreach within NASA programs through visualization. To that end, the SVS works closely with scientists in the creation of visualization products, systems, and processes in order to promote a greater understanding of Earth and Space Science research activities at Goddard Space Flight Center and within the NASA research community.</p>
<p>All the visualizations created by the SVS (currently totalling over 3,000) are accessible to you through this Web site. More recent animations are provided as MPEG-4s, MPEG-2s, and MPEG-1s. Some animations are available in high definition as well as NTSC format. Where possible, the original digital images used to make these animations have been made accessible. Lastly, high and low resolution stills, created from the visualizations, are included, with previews for selective downloading.<span id="more-977"></span></p>

<td colspan="3">In 2007, Arctic summer sea ice reached its lowest extent on record &#8211; nearly 25% less than the previous low set in 2005. At the end of each summer, the sea ice cover reaches its minimum extent and what is left is what is called the perennial ice cover which consists mainly of thick multi-year ice floes. The area of the perennial ice has been steadily decreasing since the satellite record began in 1979, at a rate of about 10% per decade. But the 2007 minimum, reached on September 14, is far below the previous record made in 2005 and is about 38% lower than the climatological average. Such a dramatic loss has implications for ecology, climate and industry as new shipping lanes open.This visualization shows the annual Arctic sea ice minimum from 1979 to 2007. A graph is overlaid that shows the area in million square kilometers for each year&#8217;s minimum day. The &#8216;previous record&#8217; and the &#8217;2007&#8242; record are highlighted.</td>
