Arduino açık kaynak kodlu elektronik prototip geliştirme platformudur. Kullanımı çok kolay ve bir okadar da eğlenceli bu aracın yazılımı ve kullandığı dil oldukça basittir. Arduino içesinde bir çok çevre birimini barındırır ve sizlere çok esnek bir kullanım alanı oluşturur. Arduino “Wiring” temelli basit bir dil ile programlanır. Tek başına çalışan interaktif nesneler geliştirmek için kullanılabileceği gibi bilgisayar üzerinde çalışan yazılımlara da (Macromedia Flash, Processing, Max/MSP, Pure Data, SuperCollider gibi) bağlanabilir. Hazır üretilmiş kartlar satın alınabilir veya kendileri üretmek isteyenler için donanım tasarımı ile ilgili bilgiler tamamen açık kaynaktır.

Donanım: Arduino kartları bir Atmel AVR mikrodenetleyici (Eski kartlarda ATmega8 veya ATmega168, yenilerinde ATmega328) ve programlama ve diğer devrelere bağlantı için gerekli yan elemanlardan oluşur. Her kartta en azından bir 5 voltluk regüle entegresi ve bir 16MHz kristal osilator (bazılarında seramik rezonatör) bulunur. Mikrodenetleyiciye önceden bir bootloader programı yazılı olduğundan programlama için harici bir programlayıcıya ihtiyaç duyulmaz.

Programlama dili: Arduino wiring tabanlı kendi programlama dilini kullanır.

Yazılım: Arduino programlarken Arduino0018 ismindeki yine kendi yazılımı kullanılır. Bu yazılım gözlemlediğim kadarıyla çok gelişmiş bir hata ayıklama sistemine sahip, bu yönüyle kullanıcıya büyük rahatlık sağlıyor. Üstelik yazılım diğer bütün arduino ürünleri gibi açık kaynaklıdır ve ücretsiz indirilebilir.

Simülasyon ve kart tasarım yazılımları: Arduino içerisinde birçok çevre elemanı barındırdığından bunun için ayrıca bir simulator halen yok, Proteus programı ile Arduinoyu kendiniz tasarlayıp kütüpane oluşturabilirsiniz ancak bu çok zahmetli bir iştir çok zamanınızı alacaktır, internetten proteus arduino kütüpanelerini araştırın, ben buldukça bu başlık altında yayınlamaya çalışacağım. Bunun yanında yeni bir simülatör önerebilirim, “Eagle 5.7.0″ simülatör için hali hazırda bir çok arduino kütüpanesi mevcuttur, Örnek. Kart tasarımına gelince bu yazılımlar içinde bir yazılım çok dikkatimi çekti, özellikle arduino projelerinizde kart tasarlarken kullanabileceğiniz bir çok araç ve kütüpane barındırıyor. Kullanımı çok kolay ve esnek. Bu yazılımı kullanarak breadboard üzerine devrenizi inşa ediyorsunuz daha sonra tek bur tuşa basıyorsunuz ve yazılım size baskı devrenizin şemasını çıkartıyor. Bu işlerle uğraşan arkadaşlar kaçırmasın. Fritzing ismindeki bu yazılımı buradan indirebilirsiniz. Buradan resmi internet sitesine ulaşabilirsiniz.

BMW C1-E -Electric concept motorcycle

As a study for a safe urban motorcycling project, BMW Motorrad has resurrected their C1 covered two-wheeler for a one-off electric concept they call C1-E.

The C1-E was designed to highlight safety in low-emissions “single track” vehicles designed for urban use. As such, it sports the same roll cage, seat belt and windscreen as the erstwhile production C1. While BMW said that future single-track production vehicles may feature low-emission gasoline engines or electric motors, the C1-E swaps the original C1’s Rotax 4-stroke gas engine in favor of a Vectrix electric motor and lithium-ion battery.

Like Arrested Development, the Apple Newton and Tom Waits, the original C1 was an oddball that didn’t quite fit in to an established category but still received critical praise. A sit-down scooter with a crumple zone and aluminum roll cage, the C1 was intended to entice minicar buyers with an even smaller alternative that offered the same level of crash protection as most European small cars. It didn’t quite turn out that way.

Originally intended to be ridden without a helmet, the C1 turned into a sales flop after several European countries refused to exempt C1 riders from existing helmet laws. Despite the bike’s roll cage and studies that showed helmet-wearers who also used the C1’s integrated seat belt had worse neck injuries in low-speed crashes, the British government mandated helmet use. Sweden paradoxically required C1 riders to wear helmets but outlawed them from wearing seat belts. Partially as a result of lost sales in Britain, the C1 was discontinued in 2002 and was never offered in the United States.

The concept shown above will most likely never be seen in a showroom, but BMW hasn’t abandoned their interest in safe urban scooters. “This BMW Motorrad study is likely to remain the only model of its kind,” the company said in a statement. “Nevertheless, findings from the project will find their way into other future developments in the field of single-track vehicles.”

BMW will contribute the results of C1-E testing to the European Safer Urban Motorcycling (eSUM) program, a collaboration between BMW and Piaggio that’s active in cities where motorcycling is most prevalent and most dangerous. By making single-track vehicles safer, eSUM hopes to further increase their popularity in order to decrease pollution and traffic congestion.

BMW Lovos Feeds On solar energy

The bmw lovos- Smart solar powered car. Created by 24-years old German designer Anne Forschner, the Lovos stands for Lifestyle of Voluntary Simplicity. Each of those scales—which are replaceable and turn constantly to align with the sun—is covered with solar cells. I want to see this for real, and in action.

In my opinion, the idea is cleverly but the car should’ t have plenty of sharp metal. They provide us huge surface, the more surface we have the more energy the car will absorbed. Even tough these sharp metals provide us energy, they are still dangerous for people. I think we have to wait until we start to live on moon to use BMW Lovos. Maybe we can use this batmobile there.
